Sharjah has introduced its first monthly challenge under the “12 Challenges in 12 Months” initiative, titled the “Best Volunteer Idea.” Organized by the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work in collaboration with the Sharjah Volunteer Centre, the program seeks to inspire creative volunteerism. The challenge invites individuals and organizations to submit innovative ideas that promote sustainable community development. Participants can contribute by devising impactful volunteer projects that foster social responsibility. “Our goal is to spread the culture of volunteerism across all segments of society and inspire impactful participation,” said Fatima Musa Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. “The monthly challenges are designed to engage the community in meaningful ways.” Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, emphasized the initiative’s role in encouraging creative solutions. “This platform is an opportunity for individuals to channel their energy and creativity into projects that serve society and the nation.” The “Best Volunteer Idea” challenge is open throughout January.
