Sharjah launches health insurance system including parents of Emirati employees
Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah launched the third phase of Sharjah's health insurance system. This new phase will benefit around 50,000 Sharjah residents. The first phase provided Sharjah government employees with health insurance, and the second gave the elderly free treatment at the University Hospital. The third phase officially includes Sharjah Police and government officials' parents under the insurance. The phase also contains free treatment at the University Hospital of Sharjah for Sharjah's citizens aged 55 years and above. Sheikh Dr. Sultan addressed multiple government concerns on Wednesday morning at Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre to improve services and promote a good existence through social, economic, and health programs. The conference also covered Sharjah's human resource policy and job opportunities, emphasizing His Highness' desire to give his citizens a good life.
