Sharjah mechanic escapes death after being crushed between two cars

  DUBAI – A Pakistani mechanic narrowly escaped death after getting crushed between two cars at the repair shop in Sharjah where he works. Police said that the incident happened in Sharjah Industrial area on Sunday. The 21-year-old was working on a vehicle when another car being parked next to it had a brake malfunction. The mechanic was crushed between the two vehicles but survived. He was in critical condition when he was taken to the Al Kuwaiti Hospital for treatment. Dr. Eisa Al Moa’almi, head of the emergency department at the hospital, said the victim suffered internal injuries and multiple bone fractures but is now in stable condition. The police have launched in investigation into the incident.
