Sharjah offers 50% discount on traffic fines

  SHARJAH – Motorists can get a 50 percent discount on their traffic fines in Sharjah as part of the 50th UAE National Day celebrations, according to the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) on Tuesday (November 16). The discount applies on traffic fine payments made between November 21 to January 31, 2022. Fines for serious traffic violations are not included in the discount scheme. The discount was approved during the SEC meeting on Tuesday (November 17), chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Sharjah and Chairman of SEC. The council also discussed proposals submitted by Sharjah’s Roads and Transport Authority, regarding its transport system. The RTA is proposing operating mechanisms for taxis in the emirate, and the provision of various types of taxis to all cities and regions. ICA/Expat Media
