Police in Sharjah have arrested three gang members who tried to smuggle hashish and other narcotics in marble slabs. The Asian men were caught trying to smuggle more than 226kg of hashish, psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs. They told police that they acted on instructions of dealers based outside the UAE. Sharjah Police received a tip-off about the gang and formed an undercover team to monitor the suspects. The gang were found trying to hide narcotics inside marble slabs for shipment. Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said undercover police raided the suspects’ hideout and caught them red handed.
