Sharjah Police paid off the debt worth Dh143,000 for 12 inmates serving sentences in Sharjah Punitive and Correctional Institution. To improve the inmates' quality of life, Sharjah Police, in collaboration with several local public and private organizations, organized various social and sporting events. After they have served their time in prison, they also want to help them recover and reintegrate. The prisoners had access to phone calls with their loved ones throughout the occasion. Additionally, a day of open sports was held, with events like a football game between the team of inmates and the team of the Trust club for individuals with special needs among the recreational activities. The 12 inmates in the Sharjah jail have been freed from their debt obligations, according to Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution Department at Sharjah Police. The debts were paid in collaboration with the Sharjah Charity Association and kind donors. The Sanad Program for Economic Empowerment of Inmates' Families was honored during the closing ceremony with the cooperating and participating agencies and the families of prisoners who depend on it.
