Sharjah Police have rescued two individuals trapped inside an electric car after a sudden system failure disabled its doors and windows. The incident happened on the road between Al Badea Bridge and Bridge 7, when the electric vehicle suffered a technical malfunction that left its occupants unable to exit. The Operations Centre of Sharjah Police received the distress call and immediately dispatched rescue teams to the site. “Specialist field teams responded quickly to the scene, taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of those in the vehicle and to secure the road while facilitating traffic flow,” Sharjah Police said in a statement. Within just ten minutes, the two individuals were evacuated from the car without any injuries. The rapid intervention highlights Sharjah Police’s readiness to handle emergencies effectively and swiftly. “This reflects the high level of preparedness and effective coordination between the relevant authorities,” the police added. Sharjah Police reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and ensuring smooth traffic flow across the emirate.
