Sharjah Police unveil new e-signature service to register vehicles

Sharjah Police Headquarters has launched the electronic signature service for vehicle registration to add to the outstanding benefits of the police department. This aligns with Sharjah Police's strategy of offering the best services to meet customers' desires. This decision aims to provide hassle-free procedures aligned with the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior, which aim to ensure the delivery of all administrative services according to quality, efficiency, and transparency standards. Lt. Col. Abdul Rahman Khater, Head of Vehicle Registration at Sharjah Police, explained that the service allows vehicle owners to sign online on the Home Ministry's website to have them registered. The first step is to go to the Home Office site, select Transportation Services, sign an agreement, and then Digital Services if Digital Identity is enabled. "The e-signature facilitates transactions related to export, register and transfer of vehicle ownership from one person to another without the need for visiting the service centre," Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahman Khater added. Khater also said that companies are eligible to use the service provided there is a statement from the company allowing one of the company members to perform their duties in the registration process, renewal, and transfer of ownership of company vehicles to be performed. The representative must visit and sign at one of the following locations: Heavy Vehicle Testing Center (Tasjeel) - Industrial Zone No. 12, Red Spot Police Office (Car Dealership), Vehicle Registration Department of 'Al Dhaid and Kalba Police Station. He pointed out that the Sharjah Police is striving to develop police systems further and improve the services provided, using all its available skills to serve the public, simplify procedures and provide quality and advanced services.
