Authorities in Sharjah have rescued an Asian person who was critically injured in a motorbike accident in the desert. The rescue operation was carried out by the National Search and Rescue Centre in cooperation with Sharjah Police in the Nazwa desert on Sunday (January 14). Rescuers airlifted the injured person to Al Dhaid Hospital. The Sharjah Police has a special operation room near camping areas to serve desert campers and respond to any emergency as quickly as possible. The special force is responsible for locating those who get lost in the desert and provide first aid. Police have repeatedly warned desert campers and desert motorbike riders to avoid "irresponsible" acts that may lead to serious accidents. ICA/Expat Media
