Following days of intense rain and flooded streets, Sharjah Municipality declared that the emirate's roadways and traffic were "back to normal." For three days straight, the emirate and other regions saw torrential rain. Residents were urged to exercise caution and safety when engaging in outdoor activities after the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE issued yellow and orange rain alerts. Before the announcement, it had been declared that beginning on December 26, parks in the emirate would be closed because of the erratic weather. Additionally, Sharjah declared that it was prepared to handle the weather. Sharjah Municipality provided personnel, tools, and heavy and light machinery, including mobile withdrawal trucks, tanks, and dam pumps. BKM/ Expat Media
