Sharjah Safari, the largest safari park outside Africa, is set to reopen its doors on September 23 for its fourth season, promising visitors an exceptional adventure. The Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah (EPAA) announced that this season will offer new events and surprises, along with a rare opportunity to witness the natural life cycle of wildlife. The safari has become a vital part of Sharjah's environmental preservation efforts, reflecting the vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This season's highlights include over 300 new animals and birds born within the park, showcasing the success of Sharjah Safari's biodiversity preservation initiatives. Visitors can expect to see young animals alongside their mothers, enhancing their connection to nature. The safari spans 12 environments, inspired by various African regions, covering a vast area of 8 square kilometers within the Al Bardi Reserve in Al Dhaid. It houses over 50,000 animals from more than 120 species, offering an immersive experience of Africa's diverse landscapes. Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of EPAA, emphasized the importance of the safari in fostering environmental awareness. "Witnessing the excitement in visitors' eyes, especially children, as they interact with animals in habitats that closely resemble their natural environments, motivates us to continually enhance our programs and activities," she said. The safari aims to provide a memorable experience while educating the public about wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Sharjah Safari offers different ticket packages, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze, catering to a wide range of preferences. The safari operates from 8:30am to 6pm, giving visitors ample time to explore its diverse attractions. The fourth season promises an exceptional blend of entertainment, learning, and exploration.
