Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the demolition of abandoned houses in Kalba City that mar the cityscape. As part of this directive, Sheikh Sultan has also mandated that the value of these properties be assessed, with generous compensation provided to their owners. The decision was announced following a request from a resident during the Direct Line program on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority. Sheikh Sultan also instructed the removal of a power transformer from the front of the caller’s home as per her request. In alignment with Sheikh Sultan's directives, Sharjah Municipality has initiated a land levelling project in Al Shanouf, aiming to enhance the area in two phases. The first phase, covering areas 1 to 3, is already 70 percent complete, with areas 4 to 6 soon to follow, utilizing 100 heavy-duty machines to expedite the process. ICA/Expat Media
