Sharjah's Al Ittihad Road to temporarily close

  DUBAI - Motorists are advised to take alternative roads when the Al Ittihad Road is temporarily closed to traffic on Tuesday. The temporary shutdown of the key highway is expected to affect motorists and commuters heading from Sharjah to Dubai. The Sharjah Police said that the road opposite Al Ansar Mall will be closed from 12am to 5am on Tuesday (August 14). The shutdown will enable maintenance work to be carried out under the Al Nahda Bridge, officials said. Traffic to Dubai will be rerouted to the Al Mamzar area (highlighted in yellow in the map below).
