Four children who cleaned the street after the Dubai Marathon received a royal thank you from no less than Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. A video of the boys picking up trash on the Dubai Marathon route caught the attention of the Dubai Crown Prince on Instagram where he thanked and identified the young eco-warriors. “Thank you Mohammed Thani Al Shafar, Ghobash Marwan Bin Ghobash, Rashid Saeed Al Marri, and Khalifa Saeed Al Marri,” Sheikh Hamdan said. The Dubai Marathon returned on Sunday (January 7) after a four-year gap since the 2020 pandemic. The race route spanned 42.19km starting from Umm Suqeim Road. This is not the first time the Dubai Crown Prince has personally thanked residents for showing civic responsibility. Last year, he arranged a meeting with a motorcycle delivery driver to thank him for removing concrete blocks that had fallen in the middle of a busy road. ICA/Expat Media
