Sheikh Khaled approves Dh2.7 billion housing benefits in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved Dh2.7 billion in housing benefits for UAE citizens in Abu Dhabi. The housing assistance will benefit 1,800 Emiratis to mark Eid Al Fitr. The housing scheme covers Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. Under the financial package, low-income retirees and families of deceased mortgage holders will not to be required to make housing loan repayments. Eligible citizens will also be given housing loans as part of the scheme. Loans include the following housing categories: construction, demolition and reconstruction, as well as maintenance and expansion. ICA/Expat Media
