The humanoid robot meets Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed a live demonstration of the new G1 humanoid robot at his Majlis. The robot, developed by Dubai Future Labs and recently seen transforming on the streets of Dubai, is part of the Museum of the Future’s permanent collection and symbolizes Dubai’s commitment to pioneering AI and robotics. The live demonstration on Wednesday (August 6) was led by Dr. Ahmad Al Attar, Senior Robotics Engineer, and Maitha Al Qaidi, Robotics Engineer. The G1 robot boasts human-like mobility, excellent balance, and the ability to walk and run smoothly. “The G1 represents the next generation of robotics,” said Al Attar. “Its presence at the Museum of the Future will educate and inspire visitors about what’s possible.” Sheikh Mohammed viewed the demo at the Al Mudaif Majlis at Union House in the presence of dignitaries, ministers, and business leaders. The robot will be used to interact with museum visitors and introduce them to cutting-edge developments in AI and robotics globally, aligning with Dubai’s long-term strategy to become a leader in future technologies.
