Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has called on citizens and residents to come together in celebration of UAE Flag Day on November 3. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Mohammed said: “Brothers and sisters, on November 3rd, we celebrate Flag Day — an annual day on which we renew our pledge, renew our loyalty, and renew our love for our country’s flag, the symbol of our sovereignty, and the flag of our union.” He urged everyone to raise the UAE flag at 11am on November 3, describing it as a moment of unity and pride. “We call on all citizens, residents, and all institutions in the country to raise the UAE flag as an expression of the people’s unity and solidarity, and as an embodiment of the values of the union, belonging, and loyalty to the nation and its leadership. May the UAE flag remain proud and fluttering high,” Sheikh Mohammed said. Flag Day, first launched in 2013 by Sheikh Mohammed, is marked annually on November 3 — the day Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan became President of the UAE in 2004. Across the country, government offices, schools, and communities are expected to hold flag-raising ceremonies in celebration of national pride and unity.
