Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has revealed what one million UAE residents rated the best and worst government services. The UAE Vice President and Prime Minister announced on Saturday (May 20) the results of the Government Services Observatory project launched this year, which records one million public evaluations of more than 1,400 government services on a monthly basis. Quoting the public’s evaluation, Sheikh Mohammed said that passport issuance and issuance of driving licences got the highest public rating for best government services. Getting a passport or a driving license in the UAE “practically takes less than 30 minutes”, according to public reviews. Services of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Foreign Affairs also came in third and fourth place as the best government service. Meanwhile, attestation and equivalence of educational certificates and booking medical appointments were rated as the worst government services, according to the public. Sheikh Mohammed praised the entities that topped the list for best services, while adding that no agency should be complacent. "The public's evaluation gives each hard worker his true right, and the approach of transparency and announcing the results ensures continuous development and improvement... I have learned from my experiences not to flatter at the expense of the homeland," Sheikh Mohammed said.
