A café in Jumeirah got a royal visit from no less than Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. A video of the Dubai ruler with his entourage at Cipriani Dolci has gone viral on social media. Sheikh Mohammed was spotted walking into the café with four men in khandoura trailing behind him. As they are seated, Sheikh Mohammed checks his mobile phone while staff wait on his group. Staff at Cipriani Dolci said that Sheikh Mohammed ordered several items from the menu. Meanwhile, surprised patrons at the restaurant took photos and videos of Sheikh Mohammed, who did not appear to mind what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many. Dubai’s humble ruler has often been seen in his private moments in public places, with no swarm of security guards in sight. Last year, he was seen casually walking among the crowd at Mall of Emirates, and also going into a hypermarket. Residents say these moments prove Sheikh Mohammed’s down-to-earth nature, and show why Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world where celebrities like Lindsay Lohan come to find a private life.
