The Ruler of Dubai has unveiled a new master plan for Expo City Dubai, positioning it as a vital component of the emirate's long-term growth strategy. "Expo City Dubai will be a hub for pioneers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. It embodies our vision for a brighter, more connected future," said Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Spanning 3.5 square kilometers, Expo City Dubai will play a central role in achieving the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the 2040 Urban Master Plan. The master plan also aligns with key development areas such as trade, logistics, tourism, and business, supported by Expo City’s proximity to critical infrastructure like Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and the Dubai Exhibition Centre. This strategic location reinforces Expo City as an ideal environment for investors and businesses looking to capitalize on Dubai's global connectivity. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, added, "Expo City Dubai represents a blueprint for the cities of tomorrow, supporting sustainability and enhancing the quality of life for all who call Dubai home." Among the highlights of the new plan are five districts designed to incorporate smart transportation, green spaces, and advanced infrastructure. Expo Hills, Expo Fields, and Expo Business will serve as vibrant communities for residents, professionals, and innovative businesses, while Expo Downtown will feature a mix of hospitality, retail, and office spaces. With a focus on sustainability, the phased development of Expo City Dubai aims to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
