UAE: Sheikh Sultan initiated Al Qalaa mosque in Kalba

The Al Qalaa Mosque in Kalba was inaugurated on Tuesday (March 29) by His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan was given a tour of the mosque, including its features, grandeur, location, and amenities offered to worshippers, as well as directions to and from the mosque. He also discovered that it is close to a number of key sites in the area, such as Heritage Mosque Square and Khor Kalba Fort, making it a perfect location for a large number of worshippers. The mosque, which was built in the beautiful Islamic style, is 10,393 square feet in size and has a 16.6-meter-high dome. The men's prayer hall can hold 790 people, the women's prayer hall can hold 90 people, and the outer hallway can hold 200 people. The Ruler of Sharjah listened to the importance of worship and mosques in Islam, and how they assist people to come closer to God through prayers, reading the Holy Qur'an, and religious courses and lectures, during a religious sermon organized by the Department of Islamic Affairs.
