Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, has approved a financial assistance package of up to Dh50,000 for homeowners affected by floods and heavy rain in the emirate. A total of Dh50 million will be allocated to support 1,806 families, with this one-time payment intended to help rebuild and repair damaged properties. The initiative will provide Dh25,000 to 1,568 families with minor damages, while 117 cases with severe damages will receive Dh50,000 each. Additionally, 83 homeowners with properties outside of Sharjah and 38 families who have yet to move into new homes will also benefit from the aid. This extraordinary support aims to ease the financial burden on affected families, with the Social Services Department overseeing the reassessment and categorization of previously rejected cases for potential assistance.
