The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi saw over 4.3 million visitors in the first half of this year, a 31 percent increase from last year. According to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, the number included almost 1.8 million worshippers and more than 2.5 million tourists, with the busiest day being the 27th of Ramadan, drawing over 87,000 people. Most visitors came from outside the UAE, with 81 percent being international guests. Asia had the most visitors to the iconic mosque, followed by Europe. The mosque also served over 2 million iftar meals during Ramadan, highlighting its role as a key religious and cultural center. To make visits even better, the mosque started new tours, including nighttime and virtual tours in 14 languages. These efforts, along with a lively marketplace and family activities, have made the mosque a must-see spot in Abu Dhabi.
