Sick Ajman worker sends distress message to police over Covid-19 fears

AJMAN – An Asian worker who sent a distress message to Ajman Police after he feared to have contracted Covid-19 has been given aid thanks to the swift action by the police force. The worker called out for help through a video on Twitter, claiming that his company had failed to look after him. Ajman Police found him suffering from cough, high fever and shortness of breath when they reached his accommodation in Al Jarf, Industrial Area 2. Major Mohamed bin Yafor Al Ghafli, deputy director of Criminal Investigation Department in Ajman Police, said the place was cordoned off as a medical crew assisted the Asian man. Laboratory tests, however, showed that he did not have coronavirus, but was suffering from influenza and cold. Major Al Ghafli said that police have contacted a representative of the company to notify him of the worker’s case and ensure that he is given medical care. ICA/Expat Media
