Six men — a Gulf national and five Asians — have been sentenced to three years in prison for impersonating Dubai Police officers and robbing Dh1.2 million from a company office. According to court records, one suspect wearing a kandura and his accomplices posed as Criminal Investigation Department officers, flashing a military ID before concealing it. They assaulted the company owner and an employee, tied them up, and took Dh500,000 from the safe and another Dh1.2 million from an arriving staff member. The gang also removed the surveillance storage unit. The Dubai Court of First Instance found the evidence sufficient to convict all six, a ruling later upheld by the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation. They were fined over Dh1.4 million, and the Asian members will be deported after serving their terms. ICA/Expat Media
