  DUBAI - A baby milk formula made of camel's milk? A UAE-based company is bringing it to UAE shelves soon. The Emirates Industry for Camel Milk and Products (Camelicious) recently unveiled the product, which is expected to hit the UAE market in the next few months. According to Camelicious, the camel milk formula is designed for babies and infants between the ages of one and three years old. The product will be launched in the UAE before it is introduced to the global market. The milk will be harvested from camels in Camelicious' camel farm on the outskirts of Dubai, which it taps to produce more than 40 other camel milk-based products. Its camel milk baby formula is believed to be the first of its kind in the world. Mutasher Awadh Al Badry, deputy general manager at Camelicious, claims that the product “contains 10 times the iron found in other types of milk … and helps to strengthen the blood, protect children from anaemia, and provide their bodies with vital minerals needed for daily life.” According to studies, camel milk offers 10 times more iron and three times more vitamin C than cow's milk.
