Fans of classic OPM and R&B are in for an electrifying evening as South Border and Kris Lawrence take the Dubai stage in a one-night-only concert on August 16. The event, organized by Maybush Productions, will take place at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, promising soulful performances and throwback hits from two Filipino music powerhouses. “We’re going to party and we’re going to have a good time,” said Kris Lawrence, hyping up what’s expected to be one of Dubai’s hottest OPM events this year. The excitement is palpable: SVIP tickets have officially sold out, organizers confirmed, with other ticket categories still available starting at Dh189 via maybushproductions.com and platinumlist.net. Headlining the show is South Border, the iconic Filipino band behind enduring hits like “Kahit Kailan”, “Rainbow”, and “Love of My Life.” With over three decades of music behind them, the group is set to bring nostalgia to Filipino fans in the UAE. “This is our second time to perform in Dubai and we are so excited,” said Jay Durias, South Border’s founder and lead vocalist. Joining them is “Prince of R&B” Kris Lawrence, who is returning to the UAE for the first time in over a decade. “My first time to do a show there in more than a decade… I’m so excited,” Lawrence said. From timeless ballads to smooth R&B grooves, the August 16 concert is shaping up to be a night of heartfelt music, vocal finesse, and powerful performances. ICA/Expat Media
