Do you have no residency violations in Dubai for the past 10 years? Enjoy "special privileges" starting November 1,  the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai announced on Tuesday (October 22). The “Ideal Face” initiative recognises individuals who comply with UAE residency laws. The GDRFA explained, “They embody the ‘Ideal Face’ of Dubai through their dedication to following residency regulations.” These "special privileges" include: - Priority call service for the Amer Call Centre - Fast-track service queue at Amer Centres - Digital appreciation certificate for the "Ideal Face" - Mobile service for senior citizens at home These privileges apply only to individuals and do not extend to establishments. To avail of these privileges, the eligibility criteria are as follows: - Must be a UAE citizen or a foreign resident - Must have lived in Dubai for at least 10 years - Must sponsor one or more individuals with no residency violations in the past 10 years - The sponsor must not have any residency violations this year To qualify for the rewards, eligible residents must complete an “obligation certificate” on the official GDRFA-Dubai website. Applications will be verified before a digital certificate is issued in the applicant’s name. The GDRFA emphasized that the initiative “offers all community members the opportunity to be a part of reinforcing social security and safety by pledging to continue adhering to UAE residency laws.” Lt. Gen. Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, GDRFA director-general, said, “Security and safety are the cornerstone for realising the UAE’s vision of a happy and sustainable society. The ‘Ideal Face’ initiative highlights individuals who comply with the laws and represent the UAE’s bright image. It also encourages everyone to adopt positive behaviour and contribute to achieving stability and security.” The GDRFA asked all citizens, residents, and visitors to take part in the initiative by pledging to uphold residency laws consistently.
