The UAE will welcome spring on Tuesday (March 11), as the spring equinox brings equal durations of day and night, according to the Emirates Astronomy Society. Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society and a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, confirmed that on this day, the UAE will experience precisely 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night time. Following this, the country will enter the spring season, characterized by longer days and rising temperatures. Al Jarwan also highlighted two major upcoming astronomical phenomena: a total lunar eclipse on March 14 and a partial solar eclipse on March 29. However, both will not be visible in the UAE. The autumn season will officially begin in September, marking another shift in the Earth's tilt and the length of day and night.
