St. Francis of Assisi Church has reopened for in-person Masses, allowing parishioners to return to church starting on Sunday (April 12). Church authorities said entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with attendance strictly limited to indoor seating capacity. “No gatherings permitted in outdoor areas,” the church said, reminding parishioners to “please disperse and exit immediately after service.” The grotto and adoration chapel will remain closed to the public as part of ongoing safety precautions. Masses will follow the regular church schedule, offering familiarity for parishioners returning after a temporary suspension of services that began on April 3. At the time, churchgoers were advised to stay away from the premises until further notice. The reopening signals a gradual return to normal worship activities, while maintaining safety controls to manage crowds and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Other church updates in Dubai

At St Mary’s Catholic Church, in-person Masses have also resumed, but with stricter entry requirements. Attendance at St Mary’s is limited to adults aged 18 and above for weekend Masses, with mandatory online registration required before entry. Services are held only at indoor church facilities, and parishioners are encouraged to book slots early due to limited capacity. ICA/Expat Media
