A tragic incident unfolded off Umm Al Quwain’s Al Bait Metwahid beach on Tuesday (December 3)  when a Sudanese man drowned while swimming with friends. The man’s body was discovered in Sharjah’s Al Himryah area after a large-scale search operation by rescue teams. Authorities have reiterated safety warnings, urging the public to avoid the sea during adverse conditions. High tides and unpredictable weather have been identified as factors contributing to the tragedy. Authorities stressed adhering to posted guidelines and lifeguard instructions to prevent similar incidents. Beaches remain popular, especially during cooler months, but safety must be prioritized.
