A recent survey sheds light on the evolving priorities of UAE employees and provides a roadmap for businesses navigating the modern job market. Financial rewards, professional development, health and wellness programs, and hybrid work models rank highest on the list of demands, according to the survey by Parisima Talent, part of Dulsco Group. The survey’s findings highlight that 48 percent of respondents equally value financial incentives, such as year-end bonuses, alongside opportunities for professional development. Meanwhile, 47 percent of employees consider health and wellness programs essential, and 44 percent emphasize the importance of premium medical insurance. Tiago Costa, CEO of Parisima Talent, remarked, “Companies today must look beyond traditional perks and focus on what drives employee satisfaction, such as personal growth, financial recognition, and flexibility. These are no longer mere advantages but necessities for sustainable success.” Interestingly, perks like on-site food and childcare support were rated lower, with less than 80 percent of respondents considering them critical. This shift underscores a changing workplace dynamic where employees seek long-term value over short-term conveniences. Workplace flexibility also emerged as a key focus. While 44 percent of participants prefer full-time office work or a single remote day weekly, 39 percent favor a hybrid model. Only 16 percent of employees prefer fully remote work, emphasizing the importance of in-person collaboration. The survey, conducted among 1,000 UAE residents aged 18-45, highlights evolving trends in the job market. Costa believes the insights are crucial for employers aiming to attract and retain top talent. “Organizations must adapt to the shifting expectations or risk losing their competitive edge in talent acquisition,” he added.
