Chinese short-form video platform TikTok has started testing its in-app shopping option. According to The Verge, the new feature has already been launched in the US. Laura Perez, a platform spokesman, said the new tool is being tested in the US. The corporation invited US businesses to its new shopping program, which would eventually include foreign retailers. The company has also started hiring for US-based fulfillment centers to manage customer returns and warehousing. "The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated," one of the job listings said. "With millions of loyal users globally, we believe TikTok is an ideal platform to deliver a brand new and better e-commerce experience to our users," it added. Earlier, the company stated it provided live streams for adults and raised the minimum age for live streams. BKM/ Expat Media
