Social media superstar Khaby Lame, the most-followed TikToker in the world, was briefly detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for overstaying his visa while in the United States, the agency confirmed. “US Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations,” ICE said in an official statement. The Senegal-born Italian influencer, who skyrocketed to fame with his wordless reaction videos, had entered the US on April 30 and allegedly overstayed the terms of his visa. After his detention, ICE said he was “granted voluntary departure” and has since left the country. The incident came to light after Bo Loudon — a known supporter of the Trump family and self-proclaimed friend of Barron Trump — posted online that he had “gotten Lame arrested,” prompting speculation and outrage across social media platforms. While the post sparked widespread confusion, ICE's confirmation quelled rumors and clarified that Lame’s detention was related solely to immigration protocol and not the result of any politically motivated campaign. Lame, who has lived in Italy since he was one year old and became an Italian citizen in 2022, has yet to release a statement about the incident.
