'Tolerance Cup' launches in Dubai

  DUBAI - The first UAE Tolerance Cup, a one-day football tournament, will open at Dubai Sports City on Friday (March 29). The tournament is part of a partnership with Dubai Sports City and Dubai Land Department (DLD) through its regulatory arm, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA). The Tolerance Cup will be held at the Football Academy at Dubai Sports City. Eight teams, representing Dubai-based real estate developers and owner associations, will compete in a knock-out tournament. Audiences may attend and watch the matches free of charge at the Sports Village. Dubai Sports City and DLD signed a memorandum of understanding to launch community and cultural initiatives and events in line with the UAE Year of Tolerance. Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA, said the Tolerance Cup will help promote Dubai's real estate market and highlight the emirate as one of the most important destinations for freehold property investment.
