Saudi travellers arriving at Zayed International Tom and Jerry greet Saudis in Abu Dhabi as Dubai adds playful passport stamp for National Day

Saudi travellers arriving in the UAE on their country’s 95th National Day were in for a surprise — from cartoon characters to keepsake passport stamps. At Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, iconic Warner Bros. characters Tom and Jerry took over the arrivals hall, delighting children and adults alike. The famous cat-and-mouse duo posed for selfies, handed out hugs, and turned the usually routine airport arrival into a full-on celebration. Passengers were also treated to gift bags with souvenirs from Yas Island’s top attractions, including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, Warner Bros. World, and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. Over in Dubai, the welcome was just as creative. Immigration officers marked the occasion with a commemorative stamp on Saudi passports, featuring the official logo of the 95th Saudi National Day and the words “UAE-Saudi, Together Forever.” Travellers got to carry home a unique memento, stamped right into their travel documents. The message of unity was echoed across the city, with electronic billboards on major roads also displaying the logo and slogan in honor of the occasion. Together, the playful gestures turned airports into celebration hubs, showing off the UAE’s warm hospitality — and adding a dash of fun that Saudi visitors won’t soon forget. ICA/Expat Media
