Tristar Group has announced the much-anticipated Tristar Half Marathon, set to take place on February 23 across Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba and Meydan districts. The event, a sequel to last year’s successful Tristar Community Run, is expected to attract runners from around the globe and will begin at 6:30am. The Half Marathon will feature four categories: 21.1km, 10km, 5km, and 3km. While participation in the 3km run is free, other categories require a nominal registration fee. Cash prizes await male and female winners in the 21.1km and 10km categories. Eugene Mayne, Group CEO of Tristar, highlighted the company’s commitment to community wellness and road safety. “After last year’s event, we promised a bigger, more impactful run. The Half Marathon aligns perfectly with our advocacy for safer roads,” Mayne said. The event has already garnered registrations from seasoned runners and first-timers alike. According to Premier Online, the 21.1km and 10km categories are seeing the highest interest, with participants hailing from Africa, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Runners can register via Premier Online until February 15. With Dubai’s iconic skyline as the backdrop, participants can look forward to a visually stunning route. Organizers assured that safety measures, including hydration stations and medical support, will be in place. ICA/Expat Media
