UAE crew saves mother, children in Turkey earthquake

An Emirati search and rescue crew rescued a Syrian mother, her son, and two daughters from the wreckage of their collapsed home following a massive earthquake that struck Turkey. The rescue was part of the UAE's “Gallant Knight 2” mission. It took the Emirati team more than five hours to complete the rescue in Kahramanmaras Province. The team immediately provided medical aid to the family before sending them to the nearest hospital. Citizens present during the rescue operation have expressed their gratitude to the rescuers for saving victims from under the wreckage of collapsed buildings. Rescue efforts are still ongoing. On Monday (February 6), a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and Syria, damaging thousands of buildings, leaving several families homeless, and causing a heap of casualties.
