A fire at a hotel in Dubai claimed the lives of two people on Saturday (November 2), according to authorities. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that the victims died from smoke inhalation during the hotel blaze in the Naif area. There were no immediate details on the identities of the victims. According to the Dubai Media Office, Dubai Civil Defence units responded rapidly, arriving at the scene within six minutes of receiving the distress call. Despite their swift response, the intense smoke spread throughout the premises, leading to the tragic loss of two lives. Firefighters evacuated residents and worked to extinguish the flames as soon as possible, preventing further casualties and damage to adjacent properties. The Civil Defence authorities expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. “Our thoughts are with the families of the victims during this challenging time,” a Civil Defence spokesperson shared.
