Two people were injured in Dubai after a truck crashed into a bus stop on Al Nahda Street, opposite the metro station, when its driver lost control. One victim sustained severe injuries, while the other suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment following the accident. Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said the Operations Room received a report about the crash, prompting the immediate deployment of traffic patrols to secure the area. “Experts from the Traffic Accidents Department also arrived to conduct a technical assessment and gather evidence, collaborating with rescue and ambulance teams to efficiently transport the injured and clear the damaged vehicle and debris from the site,” Brig. Bin Suwaidan explained. The accident caused temporary traffic disruption on Al Nahda Street, but traffic patrols quickly diverted vehicles to alternative routes to minimise congestion. Brig. Bin Suwaidan urged motorists to follow traffic laws and remain vigilant behind the wheel, stressing that sudden lane changes continue to be among the leading causes of serious road accidents.
