Two people were killed and three others injured after debris from a successfully intercepted missile fell in Abu Dhabi on Thursday (March 26), authorities said. The incident occurred on Sweihan Street, where several vehicles were also damaged. Authorities have launched an investigation. According to Abu Dhabi Media, the incident has resulted in the deaths of an Indian national and a Pakistani national, and also injured an Emirati, Jordanian and another Indian. The incident comes amid ongoing regional tensions following Iranian attacks in response to earlier strikes. Earlier this week, a civilian contractor working with the UAE Armed Forces was killed during a routine mission in Bahrain after an Iranian attack. Authorities said the incident also injured five Ministry of Defence personnel. Since the escalation began on February 28, authorities reported that two armed forces personnel have been killed, along with six civilians of different nationalities, including three Pakistanis, Nepalese, Bangladeshi and Palestinian. Injuries recorded range from minor to critical and involve individuals from multiple countries, including the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, India and others. ICA/Expat Media
