An estimated 1.1 million students returned to UAE schools on Tuesday (January 2) at the start of the second semester of the academic year. The semester will take 12 weeks, with a trial test to be conducted between March 4 and 8 before the semestral exams between March 13 and 22. Students will then have their spring break from March 25 to April 12, while for teaching and administrative staff, the break is from April 1 to 12. The third semester begins on April 15. The last day of school is expected to be on June 14, before students begin their summer vacation on July 1. For teachers and administrative staff, the summer break begins on July 15. ICA/Expat Media
