UAE: Over 200 screening centers set to provide free PCR tests for students and school staff

Over 200 designated centers will provide free Covid-19 PCR tests for school students and staff from 226 public schools starting August 25 to 28. The Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) announced on Twitter that there are 189 Covid-19 screening stations at schools in Dubai and the northern emirates, as well as 37 centers in Abu Dhabi schools with a significant capacity that serve both students and faculty. Starting on Monday (August 29), UAE public school students will resume classes for the upcoming academic year 2022–2023. Teachers and administrative staff have already reported back to schools for preparations. A 96-hour negative PCR result must be presented on the first day of school. Hence, both students and faculty are urged to take the Covid-19 test. UAE authorities announced on Tuesday that more than 1.65 million students would return to school. BKM/ Expat Media
