UAE: 289 food items subsidized for Ramadan 2022

  A total of 289 subsidized food products will be available in food centers around Abu Dhabi for Emirati families in preparation for Ramadan 2022. According to the Department of Municipalities and Transportation, the list of sites and operating hours of the food distribution centers will be announced on social media. Department officials said that they have stockpiled adequate food supplies and increased the number of centers to accommodate the rising demand of Abu Dhabi residents. Families may utilize the Smart Pass digital platform to buy subsidized food and use the delivery service. To utilize the Smart Pass digital platform, users must first create an account on the Smart Pass platform, select the service, identify the food items to be purchased and pay for it. The beneficiaries can either pick up the orders at the designated location or choose a home delivery service for a fee. Beneficiaries can also place orders using 'Tamm,' the integrated Abu Dhabi government service system.
