UAE is 28th happiest country on earth and happiest Arab country, new report reveals

  DUBAI - UAE residents have a lot of reasons to be happy, and one of those is living in the world's 28th happiest country. Among Arab countries, the UAE ranked first as the happiest country to live in, according to the World Happiness Report 2016. The report, announced on Monday (December 26) is based on an opinion survey conducted by Gallup Institute in 157 countries. The survey measures happiness levels using factors such as per capita income and standard of living as well as satisfaction with life. According to the survey, the UAE scored 7.06 out of 10 points in the happiness index, which measured people's satisfaction of the standards of living in the emirates. The survey also showed that the elderly are the happiest segment in the UAE society. In terms of security, the UAE scored 99.34 per cent. People also felt that equality was high in the emirates, which stood at 94.54 per cent.
