A humanitarian delegation from the UAE is providing food parcels to both Sudanese refugees and the local population in Amdjarass, Chad. The UAE team is headed by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) in coordination with the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and comprised of volunteers from ERC, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation. Dr. Ahmed Obaid Al Dhaheri, who leads the ERC delegation in Chad, said the UAE humanitarian organizations are committed to intensifying their efforts to ease the hardships faced by Sudanese refugees, especially given the prevailing conditions in their country. Al Dhaheri emphasized that the humanitarian team will collaborate with local relief agencies to ensure the efficient distribution of food parcels to reach the maximum number of beneficiaries.
