The UAE field hospital in Amdjarass, Chad continues to operate and has treated 3,509 Sudanese refugees in the first month since it opened. The hospital has performed 24 surgeries, and has treated 1,897 adults and 1,612 children. The hospital is part of the UAE's commitment to provide humanitarian aid to help the Sudanese people recover from the conflict in Sudan, which has been ongoing since last April. It also aims to support the Republic of Chad in reducing the pressures posed by the humanitarian crisis resulting from the influx of Sudanese refugees to Chad. MFD/Expat Media
