On the first day of the amnesty program on Sunday (September 1), Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ferdinand Ver, together with Vice Consul Regatta Marie Antonio-Escutin and Vice Consul Kevin Mark Gomez, received at the Philippine Embassy the first applicants of the UAE government’s amnesty program. The amnesty program provides individuals with the chance to rectify their immigration status in the UAE. This is also an opportunity to regularize their stay in the UAE or to facilitate their return home without facing legal consequences. The amnesty program will run until October 31.
