Federal government employees will celebrate Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha holidays from 9th to 12th Dhul Hijjah 1444, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced. FAHR issued a circular on the holidays based on the Cabinet Resolution regarding the approved public holidays calendar for 2023 in public and private sectors. According to the UAE Cabinet public holidays will be the same for both public and private sectors, with 9 Zul Hijjah for Arafat Day, 10 to 12 Zul Hijjah to mark Eid Al Adha and July 21 for Islamic New Year. The official UAE public holidays calendar also includes September 29, which marks the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday holiday, and December 2 and 3 as the National Day holidays. ICA/Expat Media
