January 1, 2025 will be a public holiday for government employees and the public sector, according to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources on Friday (December 20). The public holiday will be on the occasion of the new year. The advisory comes in line with the UAE’s official list of holidays released earlier this year. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has also announced that private sector employees will have a public holiday on January 1. ICA/Expat Media
